WP 6
The ultimate goal is to implement trans-national research activities. These will be mainly, but not exclusively, directed towards common/joint calls for applications shared by partners in PRIOMEDCHILD. WP6 comprises all tasks related to the synchronization of such activities, from publishing calls up to common/joint evaluation of the project proposals and further follow-up of the selected ones.
In WP6 a framework and tools for trans-national research funding activities will be developed. Extensive preparation on legal and administrative issues and on a common/joint evaluation system is mandatory to reach this goal. This will be achieved by, first, setting up a working group. It will address contractual and financial modalities for trans-national funding, based on the outcomes of WP2, WP4 and WP5. Experiences from other ERA-Nets, in which the partners participate in addition to PRIOMEDCHILD, will be used. This working group will focus on the legal framework for trans-national research cooperation to provide assistance to future trans-national research consortia and on a model contract defining the rights and obligations of the consortia towards the funding bodies. On an operational level it will be necessary to generate and implement guidelines and standard operation procedures (SOP) that will optimise the use of data management systems in future common/joint calls, by using compatible networks between member states. Workshops bringing together the interested member states funding agencies´ officers and other common/joint call experts will be organized to assist the working group to develop these guidelines and standard operation procedures and model contracts of agreement between interested funding agencies and model contracts for approved projects. The working group will develop procedures for a common trans-national evaluation system and to extend the common/joint database of expert evaluators.
