PRIOMEDCHILD  supports positive networking of stakeholders involved in research on medicines for children. To that end PRIOMEDCHILD offers selective organisations and intiatives the opportunity to present themselves and their work here.

PatientPartner project
The PatientPartner project sets out to promote the role of the patient organisations in the clinical trials context. PatientPartner is based on the belief that involving patient organisations as equal partners at all stages of clinical trials contributes to research that is better adjusted to the real needs of patients. PatientPartner is a three year project within the 7th Framework program funded by the European Commission. Link to PatientPartner website.

European Academy of Paediatrics - EAP
The European Academy of Paediatrics exists to promote the health of children and young people in Europe. It aims to improve standards in training, service and research and to represent the professional interests of paediatricians in the EU. It incorporates the section of paediatrics of the European Union of Medical Specialists and therefore has influence in the political arena to advocate for children and young people as well as for the profession. Link to EAP website.

RIPPS (France)
The Network for Investigation of Medicinal Products in children (RIPPS) was established in France late 2005 in order to facilitate the performance of clinical studies on medicinal products in children. The network has been set up progressively and some clinical studies have already been carried out, sponsored by pharmaceutical manufacturers. More information...

Tuning activities EMEA and PRIOMEDCHILD
PRIOMEDCHILD delegates recently met with representatives of the EMEA paediatric medicine department to discuss respective objectives and goals. Identification of areas in which we can work together and how we can support each other’s activities can be beneficial to all stakeholders involved in paediatric medicine research. The UK Medicines for Children Research Network (MCRN)
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Medicines for Children Research Network (MCRN) has been created to improve the co-ordination, speed and quality of randomised controlled trials and other well designed studies of medicines for children and adolescents in the UK, including those for prevention, diagnosis and treatment. More information.....

European Society for Paediatric Nephrology (ESPN)
The European Society for Paediatric Nephrology (ESPN) is a new European registry for paediatric patients with end stage renal disease. Children with end-stage renal disease require many different types of medication, of which many have been poorly studied in paediatric patients. For this reason the ESPN registry is collecting data on medication use. More information.....

International Network of Paediatric Pharmacists
During the past 18 or so months the foundation for the establishment of an International Network of Paediatric Pharmacists has started to be laid. Paediatric pharmacists from North America and Europe are currently planning an international symposium of paediatric pharmacists and pharmacologists. More information.....

Dutch Medicines for Children Research Network (MCRN)
The Dutch Medicines for Children Research Network (MCRN) is a collaboration of all Dutch stakeholders in paediatric drug research and clinical care. MCRN has its focus on phase I-IV studies, i.e. pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies and clinical trials. More information.....
