Matchmaking Event

In preparation of the launch of the PRIOMEDCHILD Joint Call later this year, PRIOMEDCHILD organised a Matchmaking Event in Tallinn, Estonia. The main objective of the event was ofcourse for researchers to meet with other researchers, sparking off new research collaborations. The one-on-one speed-date sessions were a great success. Participants had indicated in advance who they wanted to meet with. The discussions were lively and the enthousiasm of the participants was inspiring for the PRIOMEDCHILD organisers.

The event offered the opportunity for PRIOMEDCHILD partners to explain in more detail the aim and procedures of the Joint Call, while at the same time giving interested researchers the chance to ask questions and meet with the PRIOMEDCHILD representatives. The topics for the Joint Call were addressed by two speakers. Professor Irja Lutsar presented the topic "Methodology and medicines for children". Dr. Ann Marie Kaukonen introduced the Joint Call theme "Innovation in paediatric formulations and drug delivery systems". Their presentations gave rise to fruitful discussions with the participants, the conclusions once again emphasizing the urgent need for more and better research in the field of better medicines for children.
