    July 2009. Speakers at Matchmaking Event

    PRIOMEDCHILD is proud to present two internationally renown researchers that will speak at the Matchmaking Event in Tallinn on September 9th 2009.

    The speakers are each experts on either of the two Joint Call topics. Both speakers are members of the EMEA Paediatric Committee (PDCO).

    Professor Irja Lutsar will speak on "Methodology and medicines for children". She is professor of medical microbiology and virology at the University of Tartu, Estonia. Her areas of expertise as a paediatrician in research include paediatric infectious diseases, vaccines, paediatric clinical trials as well as pharmacokinetic trials on neonates and experimental models of central nervous system infections.

    Introducing the Joint Call theme "Innovation in paediatric formulations and drug delivery systems" is dr. Ann Marie Kaukonen. With her PhD in pharmaceutical technology, she has expertise in formulations and drug delivery systems, in vitro ADME studies, pharmaceutical and pharmacokinetic profiling. At present she is senior researcher at the department of Marketing Authorisations, National Agency for Medicines in Finland.

    The programme for the Matchmaking Event also includes an introduction of the PRIOMEDCHILD Joint Call procedure and administration, speed-date sessions between researchers and poster presentations on topics related to the Joint Call.
