Joint Call
The aim of the PRIOMEDCHILD Joint Call is to enable an effective multi-national collaboration on common transnational research projects based on complementarities and sharing of expertise. This collaboration should address important questions relating to priority medicines for children.
The ERA-NET PRIOMEDCHILD Partners particularly wish to promote multidisciplinary projects and to encourage collaborative research efforts in preclinical, translational and clinical areas aiming at better medicinal treatments for children. The research proposals must cover at least one of the two theme areas and should be on registered medicines:
- The development or use of innovative methodology in medicines for children research
- Innovation of paediatric formulations and drug delivery systems
The individual components of joint applications should be complementary and contain novel, innovative, ambitious ideas. There should be clear added value in funding the collaboration over the individual projects, bringing together a critical mass of researchers with internationally leading research reputations. To participate in the Joint Call, researchers have to form consortia of at least three research-groups or legal entities from three different countries. Of the research groups in a consortium, at least two should be from two different PRIOMEDCHILD countries participating in Joint Call.
There is no limitation concerning disease area. However, research already covered by the FP7 call on off-patent medicines will not be eligible for funding from the PRIOMEDCHILD Joint Call. For information on the FP7 call please visit the website of cordis and EMEA. There will be a two-stage application procedure (pre-proposals and full proposals) and accordingly a two-stage review procedure. The call is closed. 22 pre-proposals were received.
In case of any questions or remarks, please contact the Call Secretariat in the Netherlands: Deborah Alfarez or Astrid van Sonsbeek.
