The PRIOMEDCHILD consortium is composed of 9 Partners. The participating organizations are research funding councils from: Estonia, France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Spain and the UK. In addition, the funding organization from Germany acts as an Affiliated Partner.

The consortium PRIOMEDCHILD is managed by four bodies, each with different responsibilities: the Steering Committee, the Management Group, the Advisory Group, and the Project Coordination Secretariat.

The Steering Committee is the decision body of the Project. The Steering Committee consists of representatives of PRIOMEDCHILD Partner organizations, who represent decision-making in their organization. The Steering Committee will lay out the strategic planning, govern the network's activities and is at the end responsible for meeting the objectives, milestones and deliverables of PRIOMEDCHILD.

The Steering Committee agrees, inter alia, on the strategic activities of PRIOMEDCHILD, on the plans and implementation of the PRIOMEDCHILD-activities and approves the documents, results and approaches related to the PRIOMEDCHILD activities. The Steering Committee meets twice a year in the different Partner countries.

The Management Group consists out of the Work package team leaders and programme managers or respective scientific advisors or specialists in the field of paediatric medicines. The Management Group meetings are presided and coordinated by ZonMw.

The Management Group meets annex to the Steering Committeee meetings but the Work package teams have additional frequent direct communication and regular meetings on own instigation. The Management Group steers the execution of the Work packages according to the indications given by the Steering Committee. The Work package team leaders therefore report on every Management Group meeting about the progress of their Work package in relation to the planning as laid out in the Description of Work of PRIOMEDCHILD.

The Advisory Group is a panel of experts that provide asked and unasked guidance and recommendations to the Steering Committee. The strategic, execution plans and the progress reports of the Steering Committee will be presented as soon as drafted to the Advisory Group for advice.

Tasks of the Advisory Group include: advise PRIOMEDCHILD in matters related to communication with stakeholders and international actors, bring experience and ideas related to programme management from other EU-member states and to advise in integration of PRIOMEDCHILD with other actors and (European) networks regionally and globally. In every Partner country a national advisory group may function comprising the national counterparts of paediatric stakeholder organizations..

PRIOMEDCHILD is coordinated by the Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMw). The Coordinator carries out the overall contractual, financial and administrative management of the consortium. Also internal and external communication and participation in the identification of strategic partners to the project and the making of future plans is executed by the Coordinator.

The Secretariat will be based at ZonMw in The Hague, the Netherlands.
